Man Writes Scathing Reseller Review Online, Feels Vindicated

| Buy it and fry it! | | OLD ORCHARD, SC - Prolific online computer shopper Bill Spaulding gets even
Carefully packing another fried Pentium processor in bubble wrap, Spaulding spitefully ripped a piece of packing tape with his teeth
"This thing is a piece of shit! I'm an A++ certified tech, and none of those idiot minimum wage sales people at www.pcomelet.com can tell me I did anything wrong! This is the THIRD goddamn processor I got from pcomelet.com that was fried outta the box! I think it's time I let em' have it!"
Spaulding's next course of action was to make a beeline to www.raterrevenger.com, a reseller evaluation page that allows buyers to post their buying experiences online. Since nothing posted on the Web is legally regarded as "published", posters and webmasters are virtually immune from lawsuits alleging slander, a product of the current sketchy legal structure of the Internet itself, making the Web a digital Wild West of sorts, complete with gunfights at the not-so o.k. corral.
"I told the whole world what assholes these guys are! Here's what I posted:
The worst customer service I've had in years. When approached about a defective item, they actually said, "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT". They wouldn't give me my money back. Just because they're online doesn't excuse them from providing customer service. WITH ALL THE OPTIONS ONLINE, DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS SELLER. BUNCH OF CROOKS! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I HAVE CONTACTED THE BBB, ATTORNEY GENERAL AND FBI! STAY AWAY!!!"
What Spaulding had failed to include in his scathing review was the fact that the only experience he truthfully had in electronics was 10th grade shop class, and that he admits "getting the red and black jumper cable wires mixed up on car batteries from time to time."n/tds/
